Gail appeared on Monday’s (30th January) edition of the daytime panel show to open up about her devastating money woes, and ended up in tears when discussing the fact that her lack of funds has resulted in her occasionally sleeping on a park bench.

‘It was ages and ages ago,’ she admitted tearfully.

Referring to Honey, her daughter with rocker ex-husband Dan Hipgrave, she confirmed that she hid the extent of her issues from her: ‘Honey didn’t know. She does know now that she’s 14, she understands that I had a hard time, but you keep it to yourself…

‘You bottle things up and they get worse and worse, so then you don’t want to tell anyone.’

Gail, 45, first spoke out about her sleeping rough situation late last week, where she also revealed to be living off of a diet of Marmite on toast to be able to continue providing for her daughter. Recalling the extreme points of her days sleeping rough, she told The Sun:

‘I was on a bench on Hampstead Heath with a rug and rucksack. It was cold and terrifying. I covered my face so no one could see me.

‘Those were the scariest nights of my life. There were lots of terrifying noises. I had no idea what they were. I was freezing and I didn’t know who was coming for me.

‘I barely slept a wink. I was scared of being killed or raped.’

All at Now send best wishes to Gail – here’s hoping that a solution to her debt issues comes soon.
