Show will help to lift spirits of grieving star

Gary Barlow has revealed that he’ll be watching the opening episode of The X Factor with his family on Saturday night following their recent heartbreak.

Gary and wife Dawn, 42, tragically lost their daughter Poppy when she was delivered stillborn on 4 August.

The Take That star is taking time out to grieve, but he and his wife and their 3 kids won’t miss the first episode of the show’s 9th series.

Thanks for all the support,’ says Gary, 41.

I’ll be watching the show at home on Saturday with my family and I know you’re going to love it.

The talent is amazing this year and I’m looking forward to working with and mentoring my acts at judges’ homes and on the live show.’

The star pulled out of the official press launch for the show on Thursday and his fellow judges say they’ve been contacting him with messages of support.
