Singer's fourth child was delivered stillborn

Gary Barlow will not attend the press launch of The X Factor today.

The Take That star is taking time out to grieve for daughter Poppy, who was stillborn on 4 August.

Gary and wife Dawn were devastated about the loss of their fourth child and the TV judge isn’t ready to promote the show’s return.

Due to personal circumstances Gary Barlow won’t be attending the press launch for The X Factor,’ a spokesperson for the series tells Mail Online.

But he has been in touch with production to wish everyone well.’

Gary has also cancelled his trip to Mallorca in September for the judges’ houses stage of the show. Instead he’ll stay in the UK to be with his family.

The talented singer/songwriter earned much praise for bravely performing with Take That at the Olympic Closing Ceremony on Sunday just days after the tragedy.

And he’s sure audiences will love the new series of The X Factor, which kicks off on Saturday.

I think it’s been extraordinary this year,’ Gary, 41, declared recently.

Everybody thinks so. I have even heard cameramen saying to each other that it’s such a massive improvement on last year.’

Whilst the star continues to mourn, the show’s other judges – Tulisa Contostavlos, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh – will still attend the launch in London today.
