Mr George Clooney’s the latest self-confessed superfan of Downton Abbey

We all know our pals across the pond love a ruddy good British accent – which must be why Downton Abbey‘s bowling Hollywood over!

And gorgeous George Clooney‘s the latest superfan obsessed with the period drama.

The silver fox, 52, confessed his secret love after starring alongside Downton‘s Hugh Bonneville in new flick The Monuments Men.

He joins other A-list addicts including Tom Hanks, Michelle Obama and Katy Perry, to mention but a few.

However, Oscar-winning George reckons he can only dream of getting a part in the ITV show after branding his English accent rubbish.

‘It’s all very Dick Van Dyke,’ he admitted.

Aww, don’t worry, Cloons – we’ll overlook that!
