Hollywood heartthrob says he'd like to confuse the paparazzi
With a wry smile, George Clooney says he wants to be seen with as many different people as possible to throw gossips off the scent of his real lover.
‘I want to spend every single night for three months going out with a different famous actress,’ he says. ‘You know, Halle Berry one night, Salma Hayek the next, and then walk on the beach holding hands with Leonardo DiCaprio.’
That’d certainly get tongues wagging.
George, 45, who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in Syriana, reckons Cate Blanchett is a definite for next year’s Academy Awards and that it’s about time Johnny Depp got one, too. He also admires British actor Clive Owen.
‘Clive Owen is the big find in the past two or three years,’ he tells Vanity Fair magazine. ‘He’s, like, a man – there’s a sexuality and a masculinity that I think is really interesting.’
When George Clooney first moved to Hollywood, he was thrilled when beautiful girls approached his car and asked if he wanted to party. But his cousin Miguel Ferrer had to put him straight.
‘I’d never seen a hooker in my life, coming from Kentucky,’ George says. ‘I was like, “Girls love me, man! I’m on fire in this town!” And Miguel goes, “They’re hookers, you idiot.'”
