Ex-model gets free Whitney Houston tickets

Heather Mills won a radio phone-in competition after being selected from dozens of callers on Saturday.

Sir Paul McCartney‘s ex-wife received free tickets to a Whitney Houston concert at London’s O2 tomorrow.

Heather correctly identified a missing word from the singer’s hit How Will I Know on Heart FM.

‘That’s wonderful,’ she told listeners. ‘Thank you so much! I can take my girlfriend. I’m really excited.’

DJ Paul Hayes admits he only realised he was speaking to Heather, 42, when she’d hung up.

‘It suddenly clicked – the Geordie accent, the address she gave me and, of course, the name,’ he says.

Heather, who appeared on Dancing On Ice earlier this year, now plans to give away the prize.

‘She entered the competition to win the tickets for an 82-year-old mother of a friend,’ her spokesman tells the Daily Mail.

‘I think Heather does enjoy Whitney, but she knew someone who wanted the tickets more than her  –  her friend is a massive Whitney fan.

‘Since the event was sold out she thought this would be a good opportunity to really cheer her up.’

Heart FM programme controller Tony Aldridge adds: ‘It was completely random.

‘You do not expect a celebrity calling up for a competition.’
