Not everyone has approved of Rosie Webster's return to the cobbles
The actress was criticised by some for her acting skills when she made her big comeback as Rosie Webster this week but has proved that she’s keeping her head up with a fitting message on Instagram.
Helen, 26, posted a quote on Thursday reading: ‘No matter how rich, cool, educated, or talented you believe you are, how you treat people ultimately tells all.
‘Integrity is everything.’
The TV star chose not to add anything in the caption other than a love heart emoji.
She’s since received lots of support from her followers as well as friends including her Corrie co-star Brooke Vincent.
‘My girl,’ Brooke – who plays Rosie’s sister Sophie – commented on the post.
Helen’s mum also wrote ‘Love my beautiful girl’, prompting Hels to reply: ‘love you’ Awww.
Several fans have defended her return as Rosie too, with one posting: ‘Love seeing you back on corrie babe, ignore the haters’
Another added: ‘I don’t get why people don’t realise that literally is just how Rosie is. ignore it all!’
Helen’s response comes amid news that her contract on the cobbles has been extended, meaning Rosie will be sticking around until at least December.
The actress – who has 19-month-old daughter Matilda with footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair – had originally agreed to come back on a three-month contract but bosses have decided to prolong her stay.
‘I am having so much fun being back here playing Rosie again,’ an iTV statement from Helen reads. ‘The writing is hilarious and I am delighted to be staying around.
‘I can’t wait to see what Rosie is going to get up to.’
It’s been revealed that Rosie will be involved in ‘lots of comedy and some romance’, plus is set to find ‘a new unlikely career’ in Weatherfield – certainly sounds interesting!
