Oh, we hope so...

After taking a short break to ‘sort his life out’ it’s now been revealed that everyone’s favourite EastEnders bad boy, Danny Dyer could be coming back. YAY!

It’s only been a few weeks since it was announced Mick Carter would be leaving Albert Square for a while to give 39-year-old Danny some relief from his busy filming schedule – but now it’s been reported that he’s ready to get back to work.

Well, the Queen Vic isn’t going to run itself…

And it looks like we’re not the only ones who’re excited about the Cockney actor’s comeback as it’s been reported that the rest of the cast and crew are planning to sort out a ‘low key shindig’ in the Queen Vic itself.

An insider told the Daily Star: ‘They’re keen to show everyone is behind him 100% after his tough few months.

‘They are planning a round of applause when he steps back behind the bar for filming for the first time.’

The news comes after reports alleged Danny had been causing a bit of chaos on set due to his ‘hard-partying lifestyle’ – something which BBC bosses have denied, insisting that he’s ‘always a consummate professional‘.

Despite the claims it seems like Danny’s just as popular with his co-stars as he is with the public as the insider added: ‘The cast know how important Danny is to the show’s success and don’t want it to be awkward.’

‘Danny is an extremely popular member of the cast and, yes, he will definitely be welcomed back with open arms.’

His sudden departure came as video footage emerged of the star appearing to have a row and being urged to calm down by wife, Joanne Mas at the National Television Awards in January and he’s since been relaxing in South Africa.

Although Danny’s exit scenes are yet to air (they’re filmed six weeks in advance) his character, Mick might have a shock when he returns to the square. Blue singer, Lee Ryan has recently joined the show as bad boy, Woody Woodward – and BBC bosses have warned he’s set to ‘ruffle some feathers and break some hearts.’

Ooo. Has Danny got competition on his hands? We’ll have to wait and see when these characters come face to face on-screen.
