Olly Murs went incognito in Madame Tussauds to tell a young fan she'd won a Pride Of Britain award

Seeing their favourite celeb’s waxwork spring into life is probably a dream held by a few of Madame Tussaud’s younger visitors. For ten-year-old Amelia Gebruers, that’s exactly what happened.

Just as Amelia was gearing up to take a selfie with Olly Murs‘ ‘waxwork’, it took on a life of its own and told her she was the proud recipient of a Pride Of Britain award. Watch her adorable reaction below.

Amelia has won the Daily Mirror Pride Of Britain award for her inspirational fundraising. Tragically, her dad and brother were both diagnosed with brain conditions within weeks of each other, so Amelia decided to do something to help. She’s raised over £20,000 for the Butterfly AVM charity, a brain tumour foundation, and is Lidl’s Young Fundraiser of the Year.

Olly told the Mirror that it was ‘an honour’ to meet Amelia. ‘ The fundraising she has done for a girl her age is absolutely incredible,’ he said. ‘She’s a little star and I hope she has a great night at Pride of Britain.’

We’re also seriously impressed with Amelia’s amazing efforts, and her reaction to Olly telling her she’d got the award is brilliantly cute. She and her brother are just about to take a picture with what they think is the Olly waxwork when he jumps into life, causing their jaws to drop.

The Pride Of Britain Awards takes place tonight (28 September) and will be aired on 1 October. We hope Amelia has a wonderful time!
