We've now heard Kate's voice...
We finally heard Kate Middleton speak at the announcement of her engagement to Prince William – so is she plum-in-mouth enough for the Royals?
Celeb vocal coach Caroline Goyder, author of The Star Qualities, gives us her verdict:
‘I think Kate’s overdone it a bit. Although she was clearly nervous, she’s adopted a clipped sound that’s not typical of the younger generation of Royals, who adopt a partial London accent.
‘In fact, it’s the Queen’s accent. Kate needs to relax her jaw more to get that “how now brown cow” sound.’
Kate and Prince William met in 2001 whilst they were studying at St Andrews University.
