Reality TV star speaks about life-saving operation
Jade Goody has told of how the tumour in her bowel could have killed her.
The reality TV star, who has cervical cancer, was rushed to hospital after complaining of severe stomach cramps last Friday.
‘They found a tumour the size of a golf ball,’ she says. ‘The surgeons decided to give me a life-saving operation.
‘This sounds horrible, but because the blockage was making me constipated and bloated, I would have literally exploded if the surgeons hadn’t removed it because all the toxins were building up and poisoning my body.’
Jade, 27, who has kids Freddie, 4, and Bobby, 5, is expected to remain in hospital for two weeks.
‘I’m still trying to keep my chin up, but as you know, I found out last Monday that my cancer had spread,’ she writes in her new! diary.
‘I was devastated and so angry, thinking how much I have to live for. I’m going to battle it all the way. I’m not ready to leave Bobby and Freddy.’
