Jade Goody's widower appeared in court today
Jack Tweed has been charged with rape.
Jade Goody‘s widower was arrested on Friday at 9am and is alleged to have attacked a woman in Redbridge, Essex.
He appeared before Redbridge Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.
Jack, who lives in Chigwell, Essex, did not apply for bail and will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 21 September.
A 20-year-old man also arrested Friday morning has been released on bail pending futher enquiries.
A third man, 25, who was arrested on Friday night, was being held at an east London police station at the weekend.
‘A female in her late teens has made an allegation of sexual assault,’ a The Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed yesterday.
Jack‘s spokesman Mark Thomas declined to comment.
