The star is said to have been axed for her insensitive weight comments

Jamelia has been axed from Loose Women – and it allegedly comes down to some insensitive comments made in APRIL.

The star has reportedly been dropped by show-bosses after the singer made a series of comments about plus-sized clothing.

During the episode, the singer said: ‘I think everyone should have access to lovely clothes, but I do not think it’s right to facilitate people living an unhealthy lifestyle.

‘I don’t believe stores should stock clothes below or above a certain weight. They should be made to feel uncomfortable when they go in and can’t find a size.’

It was these comments that finally made producers pull the plug. They were apparently ALREADY trying to distance themselves from her beforehand.

A source told The Sun: ‘Jamelia really annoyed bosses with her comments on high street shops selling bigger clothes.

‘The show is often close to the bone but those comments were the final straw. Loose Women’s viewers come in all shapes and sizes and the producers don’t want them to be offended.’

Allegedly, the decision to axe her from Loose Women was made in April and she hasn’t appeared on the show in some time.

An ITV spokesperson told Mirror Online that she ‘remains part of the ITV Daytime family and is currently working on This Morning.’

Those still looking for a fix of the singer, she still presents her own segment on This Morning, which focuses on beauty for black women.
