Hunger Games star felt 'odd' about award

Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she no longer has her Oscar statue as it gave out a ‘weird energy’.

Jen won the Best Actress gong in February for her role in Silver Linings Playbook but she felt uncomfortable with having the award in her Los Angeles home.

‘My parents took it back to Kentucky, because I felt odd having it on display in my house,’ says Jen, 22.

‘If anybody’s coming over to my house, I didn’t want them to remember that. Just kind of puts a weird energy out.’

Jen, who famously tripped up as she went to collect her prize, was quite happy for her mother to give the Oscar a new home.

‘I put it in the hallway towards the bathroom and my mum was like, “I’m taking it. It shouldn’t be here,”‘ the Hunger Games star tells Access Hollywood.

‘And now it’s on a piano in Kentucky!’
