Childhood pal Kirstie Kober remembers their schooldays

Jessie J‘s always said that music saved her from the playground bullies.

But Now can reveal that her best friend Kirstie Kober also helped her through her darkest days.

Kirstie, 23, tells Now how she and Jessie, 24, met aged four at The Wenn Stage School in Essex, which they attended at weekends.

They formed an even closer bond when they were both picked on at secondary school.

We understood each other,’ she says.

Both of us were badly bullied. We loved stage school because it was healing for us. We’d step into the world of musicals and forget all our troubles.’

Kirstie, whose mum Dawn was Jessie‘s dance teacher, feels so proud when she sees her mate on The Voice now.

She’s saying things we were taught by our singing teacher Carmel Thomas when we were 10,’ she explains.
