Every friendship group has a Jesy…
From poorly timed impressions to off the mark accents, Jesy Nelson has been entertaining us since the day Little Mix were created by the music Gods (aka Simon Cowell and Tulisa Contostavlos).
We’ve all got a Jesy Nelson in our friendship group: she’s the one who really doesn’t care about how things ‘should be done’ and often speaks before she thinks.
And that’s exactly why we love the 25-year-old Essex girl!

Here’s all the times she literally gave zero f***s…
When she couldn’t hit the note
In early 2016 Jesy and the girls were supporting Ariana Grande on tour in the US while promoting new album Glory Days.
During an acoustic performance of single Touch, Jesy realised she wasn’t going to make a note (even pop superstars have off days) and just stopped trying. ‘Oh, f*ck off!’ She muttered, sending Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock into fits of giggles…
When she gave Zayn Malik a shout out
After Little Mix scooped their first BRIT award for hit single Shout Out To My Ex – rumoured to be about Perrie Edwards former fiancé Zayn Malik – Jesy reportedly told reporters: ‘Shout out to ZM!’
Ooh, the shade…
When she tried to channel Sarah Harding
Jesy and the girls, like any of us would, celebrated with a few bottles of wine after picking up the Best British Single award.

So during a post-acceptance interview, Jesy decided to pay homage to another girl band legend.
‘It’s about time,’ she crooned in a Northern accent. ‘In the words of Sarah Harding!’
When she attempted a Jamaican accent
In 2014 Jesy, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie took part in an accent challenge. Jesy picked Jamaican and gave a very questionable interpretation.
We’re still not quite sure what ‘Balegdah’ means – but the hilarious clip was enough to send Jesy viral.
When she hit back at body shamers
Little Mix performed Shout Out To My Ex on The X Factor in October 2016 and were slammed by some viewers for their ‘provocative’ outfits.
But Jesy didn’t care, and posted this Instagram shot in response…
