Fiancée Amber is keen on a wedding before any babies

Move over Lord and Lady Crawley, there’s a new country squire heading to the UK: Johnny Depp.

Now‘s learnt that Johnny, 50, has snapped up a £13 million Downton Abbey-style estate near Castle Cary, Somerset, for himself and fiancée Amber Heard, 27.

The Grade II Listed Hadspen Manor boasts 12 bedrooms and eight bathrooms, with sprawling walled gardens and woodlands set in 850 acres of land.

And from what we’ve heard, Johnny and Amber might need the extra rooms because sources close to the couple – whose engagement was leaked two weeks ago – say they’re talking about having a baby.

Johnny‘s desperate to become a dad again,’ our sources say.

Amber refuses to have a baby until they’re married, which was part of the reason behind the proposal.

‘It looks like they might be serious about it.’

Johnny‘s proposal comes an amazing 29 years after he divorced his first wife, make-up artist Lori Anne Allison, now 56, and 19 months after his split with Vanessa Paradis, 41, the mother of his children Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11.

Let’s hope this engagement ends better than Johnny‘s previous ones to actresses Jennifer Grey, Winona Ryder and Sherilyn Fenn.
