The TV star has a dancing dream...
Judge Rinder has vowed to keeeeeep dancing after his time on Strictly Come Dancing – and he’s got a genius idea to make it happen.
The Judge – real name Robert – says he would love to have a bar where he could enjoy a cocktail with a side of foxtrot, similar to salsa bars.
Speaking to Radio Times about his new-found love of dancing, he said: “It’s like learning a language – as soon as you stop using it, it’s so easy to forget. So I definitely want to carry on.
“There are salsa bars, of course, but I do wish there was somewhere to have a cocktail and do the foxtrot!”
We’re with you, JR – so make it happen already! Because we can’t deal with not having more of this in our lives…
The TV judge added that being on the BBC series has taught him “a huge amount about how I respond to pressure”, although he confessed that it hasn’t got any easier as the weeks have gone on.
He admitted to still being “terrified” every week, “to the point that I find it very difficult to step on to the dancefloor.
“And it never gets easier,” he added. “But I try to listen to what Oksana says and focus on her.
“Weirdly, as soon as the music starts, that terror disappears.”
Judge Rinder found himself in the bottom two on last week’s results show alongside the ever-popular former Labour MP Ed Balls.
He made it safely through to the quarter final after all the judges voted to save him over Ed, but finished bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday’s Musicals Week after his samba failed to match the standard of his fellow contestants.
He scored 31 points, leaving him trailing behind Ore Oduba, Claudia Frangapane, Louise Redknapp and favourite Danny Mac.
