Nancy Motes had earlier ranted on Twitter
Julia Roberts‘ half-sister Nancy Motes allegedly left a five-page suicide note blaming the actress for ‘driving’ her to take her own life.
Nancy, 37, was found dead in a water-filled bathtub in LA by her fiancé John Dilbeck on Sunday, surrounded by a number of prescription medications and illegal drugs.
The Los Angeles County Department of Coroner is waiting on toxicology results but have said that they’re taking the death as a suicide rather than drowning.
‘It was definitely a suicide. She left a five-page suicide letter. The [paramedics] found it,’ a friend tells the New York Daily News.
‘There were three pages of rantings that her sister drove her to do this. There was one page to her mum, telling her how much she loved her, and one page apologising to John.’
Nancy – who’s the daughter of Julia‘s mother Betty Lou and her second husband Michael Motes – appeared close to the 46-year-old actress in the 90s.
But last summer, Nancy gave an interview about being estranged from Julia.
Weeks before her death, the production assistant had ranted on Twitter in a series of expletive-laden messages apparently aimed at the Oscar-winning actress.
‘So my sister’ said that with all her friends & fans she doesn’t need any more love. Just so you all know America’s Sweetheart’ is a B–!!’ read the tirade, which has now been deleted.
‘Do you want to be a fan of someone so cruel? She’s not even that good of an actress.’
