Hollywood star longs to spend more time with her kids
Julia Roberts says she’s slowing down her showbiz career to spend more time with her family.
Despite being Hollywood’s highest-paid actress, earning £12.5 million a movie, the 40-year-old mother of three insists she would be content with a life of domestic bliss.
‘I’m completely happy at home with my kids,’ says the Pretty Woman star. ‘My dream is to be a highly fulfilled and productive stay-at-home mum and wife.’
Julia married cinematographer Danny Moder, 38, in 2002 and has been out of the limelight for the last couple of years raising her young family.
She admits that Danny and their children – two-year-old twins Phinnaeus and Hazel and five-month-old Henry – are responsible for calming her down.
She is no longer the workaholic she once was, shooting film after film in quick succession.
‘I guess I appreciate life more,’ she tells the Daily Express. ‘I can appreciate being fulfilled and I don’t feel like I have to be constantly striving.
‘I just want to be a mum who works from time to time.’
And although Julia loves motherhood, she insists she has no intention of expanding her brood in the same way as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
‘At this point I’m having so much fun with them,’ she says, ‘but you only have so much energy. I wouldn’t know how to have five kids!’
