Katie, 38, along with her mum and husband Kieran, spent the evening toasting her step-dad’s success and the mum-of-five took to social media to proclaim his ‘innocence’ and implied  justice had been served.

Paul Price was found not guilty by a jury after former glamour model Katie, stood by the man she called an ‘amazing’ grandad.

The 53-year-old was cleared of two counts of rape after being accused of carrying out an attack on a married woman in Worthing last March.

The jurors took just seven hours and 36 minutes to unanimously find him not guilty on both counts and relatives and friends gasped “yes” as the head juror read out the verdict.

Katie Price speaks out in stepdad’s rape trial: ‘He’s always been so loving and fun’

Katie, 38, didn’t attend the trial in fear of creating ‘a media circus’, but the mum-of-five spoke out in a statement read out in court, which said: ‘My dad has always been so loving and such a fun person to be around,’

‘He is always supportive in all situations and always puts us family first.

Woooo ❤️❤️❤️

‘Although he is not my biological dad, he took me and my brother on from a young age and I regard him as my dad.

‘I know he is there for me for everything. In fact you can’t keep people away – he is a people person.’

Paul was also supported in court by Katie’s mum, Amy Price and Katie’s half-sister Sophie Price, who broke down in tears yesterday.

When asked by the court how she felt about her stepdad in light of the allegations, she said: ‘The same, fine, normal.

‘I don’t look at him any differently. I love my dad.’
