If you’re feeling a little impatient ahead of the 2016 Grammy awards tonight, then not to worry!
Top music streaming service, Deezer, has pulled together extensive data from 2015 and predicted who’ll be walking away with a golden gramophone based solely on the amount of global streams each nominee has received.
And it looks like Kanye West – who released new album The Life Of Pablo on Sunday – is likely to launch into ANOTHER Twitter rant if the predictions are proved correct. After tweeting he’s going to boycott the awards show all together earlier on Monday, Deezer’s data suggests the outspoken star is likely to miss out in the only category he’s shortlisted for, Best Rap Single. So now we know why Kanye was quick to boycott the prestigious music awards show in LA… Fetty Wap’s Trap Queen is expected to triumph over Mr West’s efforts with All Night, with Fetty’s Trap Queen receiving a whopping 70% more streams than the rest of his category.
Something else likely to cause a stir for Kanye is the Song Of The Year category – which Deezer anticipate his frenemy, Wiz Khalifa, will walk away with thanks to his global chart topper See You Again. The song, which was dedicated to late actor Paul Walker, has surprisingly received almost double the number of streams than fellow nominee Ed Sheeran with single Thinking Out Loud.
All About That Bass superstar, Meghan Trainor, is also predicted to win Best New Artist; beating Britain’s very own James Bay and artists Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly and Courtney Barnett.
