Kate has been with Jeff for two years

It’s seven years since Jade Goody‘s sons Bobby and Freddie tragically lost their mum to cancer, but we think we can all agree that dad Jeff Brazier has done a cracking job of raising the boys without Jade around.

He’s been helped in that task over the last two years by girlfriend Kate Dwyer, who now lives with Jeff and his sons in their family home.

This Morning star Jeff’s Instagram account appears to show the good relationship the boys have with the new woman in his dad’s life, but now she has admitted that caring for Jeff and Jade’s children can be ‘challenging and overwhelming’.

But she also revealed that the job definitely has its rewards.

Sharing a snap of a hand-drawn picture that showed her and Jeff as superheroes, Kate wrote: ‘I would be lying if I said that there isn’t occasions when living full time with someone else’s (teenage!) children is both challenging and overwhelming. But then one of them does something like this and it all makes sense.’

Earlier this year, Jeff gushed over his relationship with Kate, saying he felt ‘grateful’ that she was in his life.

He told Hello! Online: ‘We’re really happy and I feel like Kate is just everything that I could possibly want in a partner. She’s the first opinion that I want to ask, and she’s the first person that I want to tell my good news to and I just feel wonderfully grateful to have her.’

And he’s excited about the thought of adding to his brood with Kate, too.

Asked about the possibility of the couple having children of their own, Jeff said: ‘Yeah I think it’s something that we would want to do. I’ve always said I’d like to experience having a little girl because I’ve definitely experienced having little boys.

‘A little girl called Isabella – the name’s there. Little Isabella, she’s due to arrive at some stage but I don’t really know when.

‘Another reason why I’m so excited is firstly I’ve found a woman that I would be absolutely privileged to raise a child with, but also I think the boys would be the most incredible older brothers and I would really love them to experience that before they get too miserable in their teenage years.’
