New mum shows off her son
Kate Middleton has admitted that she’s ‘very emotional’ after giving birth to her first child.
Kate, 31, delivered her and Prince William‘s baby boy naturally at 4.24pm on Monday after an 11-hour labour.
The couple showed off the new arrival as they left the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London last night and Kate opened up about becoming a mum for the first time.
It’s very emotional, it’s such a special time,’ she told waiting reporters.
I think any parent will know what this feeling feels like.’
Doting dad Wills, 31, added: It’s very special.’
After posing for pictures the family headed home, with William carrying his son in a car seat and expertly fitting it into the back of a Land Rover before driving them to Kensington Palace.
Kate sat beside her baby in the back of the car and could be seen looking adoringly at the as-yet-unnamed tot.
The 8lb 6oz little boy is now third in line to the throne and will be known as the Prince of Cambridge.
His name will be announced ‘in due course’.
