Princess-to-be Kate Middleton and Prince William's big day is looming

Kate Middleton had a mock wedding at Westminster Abbey on Friday morning ahead of her nuptials to Prince William on 29 April.

As part of the dress rehearsal, the bride-to-be wore a train as she walked 300ft down the aisle to the altar.

‘Obviously the props used were not the ones they will have for the wedding,’ a royal aide tells the Sunday Express.

‘A train is a train but the actual size, length and design will only be revealed on the day.’

Kate, 29, was joined by her 5 bridesmaids – all carrying mock bouquets – for the practice run as her mum Carole, 56, and Prince Harry watched on.

Prince William, 28, was absent because he’s on duty with the RAF and his future father-in-law Michael, 61, was also not at the run-through.

The rehearsal was ‘one of many’ in preparation for the Royal Wedding, confirms a Clarence House spokesman.
