Her old friend Jessica Hay claims Kate Middleton's expecting for the second time

Speculation over Kate Middleton‘s second pregnancy is showing no signs of dying down. But the continued furore can’t all be blamed on her longtime pal Jessica Hay, who appeared to confirm’ Kate’s expecting last week. So is she or isn’t she?

Since Kate’s former school friend made the claim to an Australian magazine, photos have emerged showing the usually rosy cheeked Kate looking grey and frail, suggesting she could be right in the crux of a severe bout of morning sickness.

Last week, TV chef Rachel Khoo let slip that she took notes’ for Kate, 32, during a two-week cookery course they were both on because Kate was off ill for a few days’.

Bookies also quickly suspended betting on the rumoured Royal pregnancy due to a huge flurry of online wagers at the height of the speculation.

Meanwhile, eagle-eyed fashionistas have been only too keen to point out that Kate’s been strategically placing clutch bags and even bouquets over her could-be bump while out in public.

As Now went to press, Kensington Palace had yet to comment on the claims.

However, all the gossiping has reportedly taken its toll on Kate, who surely feels betrayed by her old friend for thrusting her into the spotlight – pregnant or not. Poor Kate spent days answering texts and calls from friends asking her if the rumours are true,’ discloses a trusted member of her inner circle.

She ended up sending out a group text to about 20 friends, saying simply: “Nothing to announce!” It’s no secret that Kate wants another baby soon but she finds all these speculative stories really tiresome.’
