Star reveals she was taunted at school for her size

Kate Winslet was cruelly nicknamed ‘Blubber’ at school as she was so overweight.

The Titanic star, 31, has revealed that she was tormented constantly by playground bullies, and developed an eating disorder in her teens as a result.

Now she fears daughter Mia, six, may also feel pressure to develop the same obsession.

‘I was a very stocky child and an overweight teen. I was called ‘Blubber’ at school and they put me in the art cupboard,’ she tells ITV chat host Parky in Saturday night’s show.

‘I started to naturally lose weight but then I went too far. I didn’t eat much at all for six months. I was really tired and unwell, but, hey, look at me now.’
