Another hurdle for the couple

Katie Price would be the first person in line to admit to having had troubles in her marriage – but she’d also be the chief person telling folks that she and hubby Kieran Hayler are doing just fine together.

However, some new developments in the case of Kieran’s past infidelity might mean that the couple are facing yet another hurdle – as some letters from ‘other woman’ Jane Pountney allegedly emerge, claiming that it’s only a matter of time before Kieran is unfaithful again!

Though they used to be the best of friends, Katie and Jane’s friendship came to an abrupt and violent end when the former glamour model caught Jane and Kieran in a tryst during a holiday. Despite taking Kieran back, Katie, 38, has no forgiveness left for Jane, and has declared their relationship completely over on a number of occasions.

However, new reports claim that Jane has written a series of letters to Katie, telling her version of events and grovelling for forgiveness – and now, years later, they’ve been passed onto her via her mum, Amy Price.

Katie Price and Jane Pountney

Katie Price was left devastated when Kieran cheated with former best friend Jane Pountney

According to a source, the letters contain claims that Jane – who was a bridesmaid at their wedding – wants to reveal ‘the truth’ about Kieran. ‘She’d apparently kept text messages in which he’d criticised Katie and complained about hating his life,’ the insider told Reveal.

‘Jane wrote to Katie saying that no amount of therapy can cure a cheat. She urged Katie to leave Kieran – before he does it all again.’

Having just celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, Katie is clearly confident in her choice to stay after discovering the affair. But the source then went on to claim that her reason for cutting Jane out of their lives completely is her being unwilling to face up to the possibility that Jane might have a point:

‘Kate is afraid of speaking to Jane, because she knows, deep down, that she’s right. She couldn’t bear to meet her again after all this time.’
