Kerry's fiance sticks by her through troubles

Kerry Katona has revealed that her wedding to George Kay is on hold due to her money problems.

The Atomic Kitten star was declared bankrupt for a second time earlier this month, just 5 years after she first filed for bankruptcy after failing to pay £82,000 of a £417,000 tax bill.

She’s also been dropped as the face of payday lending firm Cash Lady, whose ads were banned earlier this year for implying that debt could fund a lavish lifestyle.

And now Kerry’s been forced to postpone her nuptials.

Yeah, we can’t afford it,’ says Kerry, 32.

It’s not a priority – as long as we’re together, that’s the main thing.

[But] it has definitely put a big strain on us. If I’m getting worked up, George then gets stressed.’

Ex-rugby league player George, who proposed to Kerry at the top of Blackpool Tower in April, says he’ll stand by the singer throughout her financial woes.

This isn’t her problem, it’s our problem and we will get through this,’ he says.

It’s just something we’ve got to deal with. It’s a horrible situation, but to me she’s been in worse.’

They may not be getting wed just yet but Kerry’s still loved-up with George, admitting he’s different to her ex-husbands Brian McFadden and Mark Croft.

He’s better looking for a start!’ the mum-of-four says.

He’s got a good heart. He’s my best mate.

He’s protective; he cares about me, about the kids. He’s everything I could’ve ever wanted.’
