LA cops charge 24 star after he fails sobriety test
Kiefer Sutherland has been arrested for drink driving in LA.
The 24 star was pulled over in the western part of the city at 1:10 a.m. this morning after officers allegedly spotted him making an illegal U-turn.
Kiefer, 40, then failed a field sobriety test and had his blood alcohol levels analysed.
The readings registered above California’s legal limit of .08 percent alcohol, and he was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.
According to Sheriff’s Department records, Kiefer was released around 4 a.m. after posting £12,000 bail.
He is scheduled to appear in court on 16 October.
This is the actor’s second drink drive charge in the past five years – he was previously arrested in 2004.
By California law, if he’s convicted, he must serve a mandatory minimum of five days in jail.
