Star needed her family after divorcing Kris Humphries

Kim Kardashian has spoken of the courage it took to end her marriage after just 72 days.

The reality TV star wed basketball player Kris Humphries, 27, in a lavish ceremony in August 2011 but filed for divorce just over two months later.

I think most people in that situation would have stayed, not wanting to face the embarrassment,’ says Kim, 31.

But when you know it’s not right, it’s better to go sooner rather than wait.

So I’m glad to have had the courage to walk away. I’ve learnt from those experiences, and I’m in a good place now.’

Kim admits that following the split she needed the support of her family, who co-star with her in Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but the star reveals that she would never want to branch out with her own show.

There’s no way I would do it without my family,’ Kim tells TV Magazine.

Everyone thinks I’m wild and partying all the time, but I hardly drink and I’m never out.

‘I need my sisters there – that’s who I am.’
