Kim's former bodyguard says he will return to Paris
After the shock arrest of 17 people in connection with the armed robbery of Kim Kardashian, her former bodyguard, Pascal Duvier has now spoken out about the incident for the first time.
Kim, 36, had over £8.7million worth of jewellery taken in October when the robbers broke into the hotel room she was sharing with husband, Kanye West, in the early hours of the morning.
But on the night of the robbery, Pascal decided to leave the mum-of-two alone in her hotel room following younger sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner to a Paris nightclub – a move which led to him being sacked by the Kardashian family.
After keeping his silence for months, Pascal has now opened up about the ordeal which lost him his job, telling Fairfax media he won’t let it ruin his life.
He said: ‘If I would try to avoid all places I had bad memories, then I can’t even stay home.
‘[I am] not avoiding anything. Unfortunately everywhere you are nowadays you have to be careful.’
Following Pascal’s claims it’s also been reported that ten suspects have been charged – five of which are for a direct role in the robbery.
Officials announced that suspects were being detained last week, following the discovery of DNA evidence left at the scene.
It’s also been reported that further DNA evidence was obtained from the material the thieves used to gag Kim during the raid, which matched with that of a well-known criminal.
Kim was left badly shaken after the criminals – thought to be dressed as police officers – tied her up and locked her in the bathroom before making off with her jewellery.
Talking on the the upcoming series of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim is seen tearfully discussing the terrible attack, telling sister’s Khloé and Kourtney: ‘They’re gonna shoot me in the back, there’s no way out.’
Poor Kim… Let’s hope this ordeal will be over soon!
