Actress trying to find ‘inner peace'

Kristen Stewart has been snapped out in Los Angeles for the first time since her affair with married film director Rupert Sanders was revealed – and she looks pretty sad.

The Twilight actress was spotted on Monday walking to her car carrying a McDonald’s coffee cup and wearing a baseball hat similar to one frequently worn by Robert Pattinson, 26.

She isn’t sleeping and she stays up all night crying,’ a source tells US Weekly.

She’s close to a total meltdown.’

K-Stew, 22, is reported to have been reading the works of Indian philosopher Gandhi to help her get over the scandal.

Kristen is trying to find some inner peace within herself,’ an insider tells Radar Online.

And she is reading a lot. Strangely enough, the one author that has really been resonating with her is Gandhi.

The quote that particularly stands out for her is, “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” Whilst she doesn’t know if Rob could forgive her, that statement has tempered her own regret.

The remorse she has isn’t completely gone, but Gandhi’s words have certainly helped her find peace with the whole situation.

Kristen isn’t beating herself up over it, she’s accepted that everyone makes mistakes and she has to learn from it.’

R-Pattz and Kristen are due to have their first public meeting when they walk down the red carpet together in November for the LA premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2
