Mr Williams will sip egg nog with the Minogues

Kylie Minogue has invited Robbie Williams to spend Christmas with her family in Australia.

Kylie – who struck up a close friendship with Robbie when they co-recorded their hit Kids in 2000 – will perform with the Angels singer in the last show of his world tour in her hometown of Melbourne on 18 December.

And as he’s going to be so far from home, the pint-size popstress has asked 32-year-old Robbie over for a festive feast with the Minogues.

A source told The Sun: ‘Robbie had let it be known he was staying on in Australia for a holiday after his tour had ended.

‘When Kylie heard about it she couldn’t bear the thought of him spending Christmas alone. So she has extended an invitation to come to the family home for lunch.’

Kylie, 38, will take to the stage in Sydney this Saturday to start her rescheduled Showgirl tour after beating breast cancer. The tour was cancelled on the first night of its Australian leg last year.
