Pop princess vows not to hide her short hair when back on stage...

Kylie Minogue is adamant she won’t be donning a wig for the relaunch of her Showgirls tour, set to kick off in November back home in Australia.

The 38-year-old had to cancel the Down Under dates of her world tour in May last year, after being diagnosed with breast cancer. After surgery and months of chemotherapy, Kylie suffered hair loss, but she’s now sporting a cute crop cut that she feels represents the new her.

‘It would seem wrong to create the illusion that I am the way I was before,’ she tells Australia’s Melbourne Herald Sun newspaper. ‘I’ve had such a good response to my short hair, and there’s not much I can do about that at the moment anyway.’

But she readily admits her dance routines might not be quite as lively as they were, with less demanding choreography. ‘There are certain things I can’t do,’ she admits, ‘but I don’t think that will make it less of a show.’

And she adds that resuming the tour will help get her life back on track. ‘It’s such an important part of recovery to get on and do what you do and be who you are. I’m finally starting to come out of that haze.’
