Singer sends a tearful tribute to fans at New Year's Eve bash

Kylie Minogue has made a thrilling UK comeback that left her in tears.

The singer performed for 12,000 fans at Wembley Arena on New Year’s Eve – marking her first appearance in Britain since she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.

The 38-year-old performer was choked with emotion as she told fans: ‘I’m thrilled that you’re spending New Year with me. It was a last-minute decision but it’s been worth it. This show is a dedication to all of you for your support and encouragement.’

During the final number – Celebration – as she counted the seconds down to New Year, Kylie took advantage of a break in the song to rush off stage and into the arms of boyfriend Olivier Martinez, 40.

An onloooker said: ‘It was a really emotional moment.’
