Oliver didn't bond with her Chihuahua

Kym Marsh and her fiancé Jamie Lomas have had to rehome an abandoned dog they adopted in January.

The Coronation Street star took in retriever-cross puppy Oliver after he was featured in an RSPCA appeal on This Morning.

But Kym, 33, has now given Olly to a friend because he failed to bond with the family’s seven-year-old Chihuahua Charlie

Oliver was rather too enthusiastic and boisterous for the family’s older pet, Chihuahua Charlie,’ her rep tells the Daily Mail.

‘Play between the dogs was getting rough and upsetting Charlie who is a bit old and grumpy.’

The RSPCA plans to check up on Oliver

‘We are aware that Kym Marsh has sadly decided to give up the puppy she rescued from the RSPCA,’ reads a statement.

‘We have been told that Kym‘s older dog Charlie was finding living with Oliver a little too stressful and after many weeks of trying to befriend them, Kym took the decision to hand Oliver over to a family member.

‘We are contacting Kym and will be planning to visit Oliver in his current home to ensure that his needs can be met.’
