The Only Way Is Essex's Lauren Goodger spent £4,000 to remove a bump
In fact, she’s so self-conscious about her looks that she’s just undergone a £4,000 nose job.
A delighted Lauren, 24, exclusively unveiled her new nose for Now.
My family tell me it looks really natural,’ she says.
I do feel prettier and sexier. I can’t wait to go out and show off my new look.’
Lauren – who recently lost 7lb with Now’s help – decided to have the four-hour procedure after finding it awful’ seeing herself on the Christmas special of The Only Way Is Essex.
I’d never really had an issue with my nose until I broke it last summer when my nephew accidentally dropped a metal fire engine on my face,’ she explains.
I was left with a nasty bump on it and from then on I hated my side profile.
On TV, from certain angles, my nose would look really awful and the more I watched the shows, the more of a complex I got about my appearance.
‘Mark said the angle we were filmed at made my nose look harsh, but he’s very anti-surgery in general. In the end he gave me his blessing and said if it’d make me happy, I should go for it.’
Lauren booked herself in for a consultation with MYA Cosmetic Surgery in London. With her family supporting her decision, she had the op to straighten out the bump on 27 January.
Her sister Nicola, who appears alongside Lauren in the current second series of TOWIE, accompanied her for moral support.
I was so nervous about the operation that my whole body started to shake and the nurse had to give me a sedative,’ recalls Lauren.
Afterwards, when I woke up from the surgery, I was so spaced out that I thought I was in a nightclub!’
