Hot new boyband singer inspired by heartbreak

Andy Brown from new boyband Lawson has revealed that many of the songs on their debut album are about his ex, Mollie King from The Saturdays.

The cute singer was heartbroken following his split from Mollie, 25, in February 2011 – and poured his feelings into music.

When we split up, it inspired me to write songs, such as When She Was Mine,’ says Andy, 25.

I don’t know how she feels about it – whether it’s flattering or what. She hasn’t heard a lot of the songs. There’s nothing saying, “I hate you” or anything.

It’s reminiscing about the good times. It’s just real-life stuff everyone can relate to, whether it’s Mollie from The Saturdays or someone round the corner.’

Mollie recently Tweeted her support for Lawson’s latest single Taking Over Me and Andy admits that the pair remain on good terms.

We’re still friends and she likes the band,’ he tells Metro.

She sent me a message saying she’s liked the singles. She’s an amazing girl.’
