Lawyer Brian Oxman says police have launched probe
Michael Jackson‘s death is being investigated by police, says his family’s lawyer Brian Oxman.
The singer, 50, passed away after a suspected heart attack on Thursday.
‘I can tell you, and this is a new development, there is a criminal investigation taking place by the Los Angeles Police Department,’ says Brian. ‘That is the case. They have told the family.
‘What they are going to do, who they are going to talk to and what is going to happen, I don’t know. That is up to them. I don’t want to make any accusations as to any particular people.
‘I want to wait till the toxicology tests are completed and let the authorities do their thing. Then we will find out.’
Michael’s personal doctor Conrad Murray, 51, was questioned for three hours by cops on Saturday.
The 51-year-old, who is not being treated as a suspect, voluntarily spoke to officers.
‘Detectives assigned to Robbery And Homicide Division met with him and conducted an extensive interview,’ a police spokesman tells The Sun.
‘Dr Murray was co-operative and provided information which will aid the investigation.’
