But the star won’t be donning walking boots himself
Leonardo DiCaprio is so worried about global warming, he’s lending his support to Christian Aid’s Cut The Carbon March, an 80-day trek from Northern Ireland to London.
A team of activists set off from Bangor on 14 July on the 1,000 mile route and will finish on 2 October, with rallies along the way. Lemar will perform in Birminghamon 27 August.
‘These rallies are a critical step in bringing much-needed attention to the damage global warming is doing now to the world’s poorest countries,’ says Leo.
But the Blood Diamond star, 32, won’t be stepping out or performing himself.
‘Leonardo is not able to do anything in person due to his commitments but because he is so committed to the cause he pledged his support,’ says a spokesman for Christian Aid.
Oh, Leo, that’s a bit lame. You could just do a mile or two…
