Singer Lily Allen releases statement following her sad news
Lily Allen has requested some space following her the loss of her baby over the weekend.
The singer was admitted to hospital on Thursday after complaining of stomach pain, but – after days of trying – doctors were unable to save her unborn child.
Lily was 6 months pregnant with boyfriend Sam Cooper‘s baby.
‘It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby,’ reads a statement.
‘The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time.’
In January 2008, Lily had a miscarriage while carrying Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons‘ child.
The 25-year-old has been dating Sam since July 2009 and the pair plan to marry.
‘Of course I want to get married to Sam. But I certainly won’t be getting married while I’m pregnant, Lily said recently.
‘It’s not an urgent thing – but one day a wedding would be great.’
