At a charity auction at the Music Industry Trusts Awards, Louis Walsh paid £20,000 to rejoin the X Factor
At the Music Industry Trusts Awards at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, the 63-year-old paid £20,000 in a charity auction to rejoin the show that he was a part of for over a decade.
Wow. We’d love to sit in Grimmy’s seat for a day, but also if we had £20,000, we’d quite like to go on a couple of holidays too.
And the most bizarre thing? We probably won’t even see his return on TV. The prize from the auction was to take part as a judge on the show for a just a dress rehearsal.
Unsuprisinly, onlookers said that big boss Simon Cowell looked shocked, but got up and laughed. Oh these two…
Although this is all a bit strange and odd, the awards show raises money for Nordoff Robbins and the BRIT trust, so it’s all for a good cause.
It seems like although he’s been making a lot of comments in public, Louis is actually quite liking not being on the show and having his Saturday nights to himself again.
‘It’s my first time sitting at home in 11 years, it’s great – in my pyjamas, watching X Factor.’
Speaking to The Mirror, Louis gushed about his former judging buddy, saying that hes’ got a ‘huge ego’ because he ‘wants to be the best’, but that’s why he’s ‘amazing in every way’. Look at this bromance! And it’s not even Valentine’s Day.
And his favourites on the show this year? ‘I love Louisa and I love Che. They’re the two people I love.’
We bet when Louis’ back in that judging seat, he’s going to say that Che Chesterman’s like a young Ed Sheeran or something…
