The first coupling is happening, people!

Love Island 2018 is a mere HOURS away from hitting our screens (can you tell we’re excited?) and now we’ve been given a first glimpse at the islanders making their entrance into the villa.

First look pictures from tonight’s series opener show the eleven singletons arriving at the lavish complex in Mallorca in far from understated style, with the ladies rocking up in open-top cars.

The five girls – Laura Anderson, Dani Dyer, Hayley Hughes, Kendall Rae-Knight and Samira Mighty – look as glamorous as you might expect for the occasion and sport some seriously gorgeous bikinis which we already want for our hols. Here’s flight attendant Laura checking in…

West End performer Samira certainly looks happy to be there!

And so does Dani – well can you blame her?

It looks like the female residents of the villa don’t have long to relax though as they’re soon joined by host Caroline Flack for a group chat.

Then it’s not long before they line up as the boys arrive for the much-anticipated first coupling ceremony – eek!

This year’s six male islanders – Adam Collard, Jack Fincham, Niall Aslam, Wes Nelson, Dr Alex George and Eyal Booker – rock up to get their first look at the ladies in the villa.

Personal trainer Adam looks keen to impress as he shows off his bare chest in front of the girls.

As does model Eyal…

And, um, Wes too.

Oh, and Niall.

But hey, kudos to Dr Alex for mixing it up with a floral shirt.

Meanwhile stationary sales manager Jack will be hoping his winning smile bags him a hot date.

But who will couple up with who? We’ll have to wait and see when the Love Island season opener airs tonight (Monday 4 June) at 9pm on ITV2.

It sounds like we’re in for plenty of entertainment from the 2018 islanders, with Caroline Flack having recently said: ‘I quite like it when we put people in who are a bit older. We have a few in this year who are maybe a bit more experienced.

‘I always like the girls and guys in there that I relate to; the ones who have made a few mistakes. We all make mistakes and it’s good to know other people do as well.’

Ooh, sounds intriguing!
