This incident caused quite a backlash
Love Island stars Katie Salmon and Jessica Hayes have reportedly been given a lifetime BAN from horse racing courses after notoriously being pictured flashing at Cheltenham Festival earlier this year.
Katie, who appeared on this year’s series, and 2015 winner Jess faced a backlash when the photos of them exposing their boobs at the event in March emerged and now the British Horseracing Authority have intervened in dramatic style.
The BHA has apparently sent letters to the girls informing them that their behaviour was ‘unacceptable, offensive and detrimental to the good reputation of the sport’ and has slapped them both with a ban from attending in future.
‘It is appropriate for the protection of racing that a strong message is sent that anti-social behaviour of this kind at racecourses will be firmly dealt with,’ the letter is quoted by The Sun as saying.
The duo were also reprimanded for their ‘lack of remorse’ in the document from BHA disciplinary officer Patrick Russell, having apparently failed to reply to an earlier letter.
Jessica was told she ‘indecently exposed herself’ for press photographers whilst in the hospitality box at the event.
She and Katie can appeal against the ban in three years’ time.
Jess, 23, hinted she wasn’t in the best mood on Sunday night when the reports emerged by Tweeting: ‘Yawnnnnn’
Meanwhile Katie, 20, joked on the social media site: ‘Who wants to go the races anyway 👀😑🙄🙄🙄’
At the time of the incident – which saw the girls pull open their dresses to flash their boobs – the friends said it was just ‘playful fun’.
They even went on to expose themselves again after Cheltenham, having been photographed flashing the cameras during a night out in Essex.
Before all of this Jess had found fame on the 2015 seres of Love Island, which she won with former flame Max Morley.
Meanwhile Katie got close to both Sophie Gradon and Adam Maxted during her time on this year’s run of the show but is now enjoying the single life.
