It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since Nanny Pat tragically passed away.

She was a TOWIE favourite from episode one, becoming famed for her sausage plaits and larger than life personality.

And last year when Nanny Pat tragically passed away, there wasn’t a dry eye in all of Essex.

One year on, her grandchildren Mark and Jessica Wright paid tribute to her.

Posting a photo of the pair on Instagram, Jess wrote: ‘A year ago today my heart got completely broken lost my best friend. How lucky I was to have you for so long though. My angel, miss you every day nan, the kindest, funniest, bravest woman ill ever know. Love you.’

Mark also paid tribute on his Twitter, posting a quote that read: ‘I miss you. I cried when you passed away. I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn’t make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating, hard work hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me he only takes the best.’
