PR guru is to tie the knot

Max Clifford is set to wed care worker and former PA Jo Westwood on Easter Saturday.

The happy couple met when Jo approached Max about getting celebrity support for the Chase Children’s Charity where she worked as a volunteer and they have been together 6 years.

‘Obviously, that was just a ploy to get close to me,’ Max jokes.

After helping Max through the grief of losing his former wife Liz who died in 2003, Max and Jo‘s friendship grew into something much deeper.

‘I never, ever thought I would fall in love again and I certainly never thought I would marry again,’ says Max, 66.

‘Yet again, it’s a case of me being in the right place at the right time and finding the right person. The whole process with me and Jo has happened very naturally.’

Max and Jo are set to marry on 3 April at a country house hotel near Windsor with around 120 people in attendance. The celebrity guest list includes as Des O’Connor, Bobby Davro and Theo Paphitis.

‘It’s not a celebrity wedding by any means, though,’ Max tells Hello!

‘This isn’t about my work, it’s about me and Jo, it’s our special day so the famous people we’ve got coming are genuine friends.’
