I'm A Celebrity's Melanie Sykes' on a mission to be queen of the jungle shower!

She’s always been a fitness fanatic, but we’re exhausted just hearing about Melanie Sykes‘ body blitz before heading into the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here jungle. The TV presenter did a boot camp, strength training, a juice detox and the 5:2 diet. Wow!

We’re told it was all to make sure that even if she doesn’t get crowned queen of the jungle, she’ll at least win the prize for the best bikini body in this series’ shower scenes. Before jetting off to Oz, Mel showed off the results of her body blitz on holiday in Dubai, sporting a tiny two-piece that perfectly previewed her super-fit physique.

A source tells Now: ‘Mel was working out with a trainer and her sessions included intense circuit training to burn calories and tone up. On top of that she was doing strength training and cardio to build endurance.’

As well as working out at least four times a week, our source says 5ft 8in mum-of-two Mel, 44, also blitzed a juice diet to detox before embarking on the 5:2 diet – five days of eating and two days of 500 calories per day – for around two months.

This was also to help get her body used to the lack of food in the outback. ‘Mel says her body shape has totally changed since starting this plan and she looks more like she did when she was much younger,’ adds our source.

Mel told Now recently that after having sons Roman, 12, and Valentino, 10, she’s more content with her physique than ever. She said: ‘I’m happier with my body now than I’ve ever been. I like that I look athletic with a bit of muscle and that I’m a healthy size 10. I’m really happy in my bikini.’

If we looked like this, we’d be happy too!
