Singer says wife Luisana Lopilato is a good influence on his drinking and diet
Michael Bublé says his bad habits in the past made him like Barney from The Simpsons.
Michael – who is now expecting a baby with his wife of two years, Argentinian model Luisina Lopilato, 25 – admits he has settled down a lot.
‘You are who you hang out with and my wife doesn’t drink and is very healthy,’ says Michael, 37.
‘But four years ago I was tiny, so tiny when I went through the break-up [with Emily Blunt]. I was drinking every day, doing nothing, smoking cigarettes and I was really skinny.
‘But I wasn’t healthy, I was heart attack skinny.’
Part of the problem for the crooner is his all-or-nothing approach to food and drink.
‘I’m the kind who if I drink I lose my appetite, boom, and if I have a bite to eat I don’t want to drink, I feel full.
‘And I don’t do one drink. I’m like Barney from The Simpsons – once it begins it begins.’
Well, you don’t look like Barney, Michael.
