Now's Editor At Large explains how the Jackson war got nasty
Just three years after the death of the king of pop, the Jackson family are publicly imploding and a war for the control of his multimillion-pound empire has erupted.
Dan exposes the family feud…
‘The root of the row is money – £318 million,’ he explains.
‘Michael’s will left everything to his children and mother Katherine.
‘But it’s being disputed by some of his brothers and sisters, including Janet, Randy, Rebbie and Jermaine.
‘Last week, Janet showed up at Katherine’s home, where Paris lives with her brothers Prince Michael and Blanket seeking a showdown.
‘Janet branded Paris a “spoilt little bitch” and the pair’s scuffle was caught on camera.
‘Police were called as Paris screamed: “This is our house, not the Jackson family house. Get the f*ck out!”
‘A further physical fight ensued between some male members of the Jackson clan.
‘A lawyer for Michael’s kids says they’re “not safe” around other members of the Jackson family.’
Dan believes Paris, 14, Prince Michael, 15, and Blanket, 10, deserve the money.
‘Michael had some serious issues, but people who knew him don’t question how much he cared for his children,’ he says.
‘I think he’d be disgusted with his siblings for acting as they have.
‘After all, they lived off his fame for long enough while he was alive.’
